Dear - you said "no body does that where I come from", I pointed out
that was a naive concept, and you went off in to a hissy fit. Maybe if
instead of throwing your toys out of the pram everytime you disagree
with a perfectly valid piece of advise, and actually listened and read
and didn't take everything so damned personally, you'd learn from
*other* peoples *experience*. Trust me, I've run make install as a user
on *several* occasions, *before* I was a sysadmin, when the boxes that I
had access to didn't even *have* a package manager and killed any
process that was running for more than 30 minutes.

And I've *never* claimed to be a developer, dear. If that's what you
think, then you're reading what I write wrong - I know the good and the
bad, and I will say when someone says something that is bad. It's not
rocket science, after all.

I know, I knew before I posted that too, *weirdly* there's a list
manager on the IRC channel. Maybe you'll calm down and rejoin sometime?

Thanks,
